This is the most wonderful story. An orphaned little girl who is totally "spoiled", being used to servants doing everything for her, who has to adjust to doing for herself. She is stubborn, surly, and sneaky, but through meeting someone hidden away her life changes - while her life changes the lives of others around her.

One of my favorite books of all time - discusses disability, difference, culture shock, and beauty. It's a truly beautiful story. <3
