Stein's most famous work; one of the richest and most irreverent biographies ever written. From the Trade Paperback edition.

This book was okay, I found some sections boring and others interesting. I know this is meant to be the biography of Alice B Tolkas but in all honesty it is actually all about Getrude Stein! After finishing it I looked back and found that I could barely tell you a thing about Alice herself, but plenty about what Getrude was like.
