Really good book and other than the mention of telegrams and the lack of tech, this book is hard to date.

Crime, suspense, and mystery - all make for a good story. A detective is hired to locate a valuable item and is faced with many difficult situations and people.

You know you are enjoying a book when you just have to keep reading it to the end. This is a great read and I just love the language style of this genre. It is unique but not dated.
