This is a slow-moving story, but a good novel to read if you want to know more about twentieth century society. The main character, Lucy Honeychurch, is torn between her feelings for two different men - one she is engaged to marry and the other she feels is the love of her life. There is an assortment of other characters, including a clergyman who wants Lucy to leave her fiance'. It's an entertaining read.

I found it a little tricky to get into this book, but by the half way point I found it difficult to put down and ended up really enjoying it.
